Background

During the Covid-19 pandemic, CTBC realized that it lacked a way to inform our entire congregation.

As a result, they created a Google form to collect user information for those that wanted to subscribe - https://forms.gle/vYqQ4Tfik7RPHe43A 

Audience

All of these users will be imported into Mailchimp as the Audience.

All users will be associated to the “Newsletter” group and have the following group name associations depending on what they chose.

• Church Events

• Volunteer Opportunities

Other groups

1. All Church Members

2. CTX Members

3. CTBC Members

4. Congregation (excluding members)

The initial google form wont be needed any longer as it will be replaced by an official subscribe form on our website called the landing page. e.g. newsletter.cornerstonetrinity.org/subscribe.

The subscribe form will allow users to pick and choose which email communications they are opting into. Refer to group names above.

Update your preferences or unsubscribe

• In every email newsletter, there will be a link included at the bottom footer. This will allow a user to update any of their information that we store on mailchimp. e.g. email address/Name/birthday/newsletter etc. OR give the user the option to unsubscribe completely.
  

Newsletter Admins

• There is only 1 free mailchimp login account. You can add more login accounts, but will have to upgrade to a paid subscriptions. Anyone who wants to send a newsletter will have to use this shared account.

• When sending email communications from mailchimp, the Newsletter admins (those chosen to send newsletters) must choose only the group name that they are targeting. For example, the Volunteer newsletter admin will only be sending to the users who have opted in to the “Volunteer Opportunities”.
